ALEXANDRA JOHNSON
Michael Younger took time out of his busy schedule to comment on the photography provided to the charity Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People. Michael stated:
"Alexandra is a pleasure to work with and makes the process incredibly simple and straightforward. Not only does she go above and beyond the brief to produce fantastic photographs which really capture the essence of the events she works on with us, but she's also quick and efficient in regards to editing and supplying us with photographs which we can use post event. It's obvious to anyone who has worked with her just how much she enjoys being behind the camera and taking incredible photographs."
BACKGROUND
Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People is the East Midlands only hospice for children and young people who provide vital care and support to families impacted by life-limiting conditions.
For the last 25 years, Rainbows have opened their doors and hearts to children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and the people who love them most. With the help and support Rainbows receive from people like you (reading this now) they are able to care for over 400 children and young people every year, offering bereavement support, sibling support and a range of therapies including physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, musical therapy and play therapy.
Rainbows declared that "TOGETHER WE CAN BRING MORE LOVE, SMILES AND LAUGHTER TO THE CHILDREN, YOUNG PEOPLE AND THEIR FAMILIES."
Alexandra Johnson Photography was first asked to photograph the Bubble Rush event at Leicester's Abbey Park. At the event, Alexandra managed to capture the family fun and laughter of all those taking part both in and out of the bubbles. Because of her attention to detail, this lead to Alexandra being invited to additional Bubble Rush events at Derby's Markeaton Park and Nottingham's Forest Recreation Ground.
Following the Bubble Rush outings, Alexandra was invited to work alongside Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People on additional events such as the Santa Fun Run and Celebrity Annual Lunch.
Every photo in itself tells a story, while as a collection they really sell the event.
The saying "A picture paints a thousand words" really is true when it comes to Alexandra's photography of our events.
