Lowdham Colts YFC 2 - 6 Manor YFC
Manor were quick off the mark, with their first effort on goal coming in the fourth minute from Oliver Jackson. Just minutes later Manor hit the woodwork twice within a matter of seconds, with shots coming from Adam Alaid and Jackson, they were hunting for their first goal and had much of the possession in the early stages of the game.
A break through came in the 11th minute when Ethan Wiesztort found the back of the Lowdham net, from a great through ball. The second goal came just 8 minutes later, Weisztort again, as he fired the ball into the top of the net from the edge of the 6 yard box.
Lowdham began to settle into the game after the 20 minute mark, a free kick in the 28th minute from captain Ollie McCourt was just wide of the left post but a goal came in the following minute from Nile Lons as he slotted the ball past Harry Green, right in front of goal.
Lowdham began to see much more of the ball after their first goal, another freekick from McCourt in the 39th was converted by Ronnie Mbamba as the hard, low strike just needed a slight touch to put it past Manor keeper Joe Marriot.
The final minute of the first half saw Manor score their third, Lowdham were unlucky to concede a third after getting back into the game in the latter stages of the first half. A fast counter attack caught the Lowdham back four out and Oliver Jackson slotted the ball home comfortably to end the first half 3-2 to Manor.
Manor did not ease off in the second half with shots coming thick and fast from the kick off, Weisztort unlucky to hit the cross bar in the 48th minute. It wasn’t long before Manor saw a fourth hit the back of the net, an easy finish for Jackson from a low cross.
Manor were the dominant side for most of the second period, with much of the possession and multiple shots on goal. A strong performance from Lowdham keeper Harry Green allowed his team to retain hope of staying in the game. when Lowdham did advance into the Manor defence they found it near impossible to breakdown an unshakable back four.
A fifth goal came for Manor in the 67th minute from Cal Savoury, a confident finish into the bottom left corner. Liam Weedop converted a penalty in the 85th minute to seal the win for Manor. The final score, 6-2 to Manor Youth FC, and a deserved man of the match for striker Oliver Jackson.
